Totally agree, I sent my Proxy to Brian a couple of weeks ago. I see the whole process as a grab for power, whilst disenfranchising the membership base. I would be interested in what the ultimate agenda is for the AASW outcomes. By centralising power in the board, we effectively exclude members from a number of states/locations from a governance role.

I believe the proposed changes to the constitution are in conflict with the AASW Code of Ethics.

NO – It’s time the Social Workers of Australia took the ‘Red Pill’ and united against these proposed changes to the Constitution, think about what the intentions are of those driving these changes; what hope for the future would our already fragmented divided profession have if our constitutional rights to vote was suddenly to abolished?

Come together; Vote NO, unite as one voice and bulldoze the silos that have been in unopposed operation for far too long. Shine your bright light into the dark; flush out all the old negativity that no longer serves; holds our profession back from reaching it full potential.
